Wrought Iron Wedding Centerpieces And Other Centerpiece Ideas

Wedding centerpieces can come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Some people prefer flowers; others beautifully wrapped favors; and others wrought iron wedding centerpieces. There really are no hard and fast rules governing wedding centerpieces. This is why couples enjoy selecting the perfect centerpiece to reflect their personalities and their union to one another.

Flower centerpieces are a popular selection. Choose a delicate glass vase, a variety of flowers that match your wedding colors, and some colorful glass beads. River-washed rocks or granite fragments can also provide a beautiful bedding for your floral selection. Make sure you select the correct size of vase for your tables so that they are neither dwarfed by the table nor overwhelming.

Wrought iron wedding centerpieces are also a classic choice. The genteel, classic look of wrought iron will complement the decor of any traditional wedding. Favorites include candelabras or wrought iron vases and urns. Wrought iron is the perfect choice to project a feeling of seriousness and classic beauty. White or champagne-colored candles are a great choice with wrought iron – brightly colored candles can detract from the beauty of the iron.

Other wedding ideas include floating flower centerpieces. These centerpieces are clear glass bowls filled with water. Blossoms, petals, and candles can be carefully placed to float on top of the water. Guests will enjoy watching the beautiful and ever-changing look of these unusual centerpieces. As an added bonus, floating candles cast shimmering, flickering light into the room, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth.

Winter Wedding Centerpieces

One of the most import aspects for any winter wedding are the winter wedding centerpieces. They often make or break the theme and in essence are central to the overall mood of your wedding reception. Before deciding on the specifics of the centerpieces however, you might want to first decide on the atmosphere you wish to create. You could have a traditional white winter wedding with string lights, the warm glow of candles, with snow all around or perhaps incorporate the colors red and white if your wedding day is close to Christmas. Perhaps even something a little more rustic displaying small fir trees indoors along with your beautiful winter wedding centerpieces that help bring the outdoors in.

Some examples of materials you can use for your wedding centerpieces include mirrors, candles, crystal snowflakes, frosted glass vases, and votives which all can be used to set a wonderful winter wedding mood. You could also use fake snow or ice, glitter confetti, sleds, reindeer, decorative mittens or even ice skates.

Flowers such as winterberry gaultheria, amaryllis, double white hellebores, boxwood stems, holly branches, fir branches, and of course the traditional poinsettias or mistletoe can all be used to further enhance the mood at your wedding reception. Any of the flowers or branches mentioned can be paired with a variety of red roses or you could simply use white roses to create classic winter wedding centerpieces.

Beach Themed Centerpieces

If you are a beach bum at heart, and have decided on a summer wedding theme for your special event, model your summer wedding centerpieces after items that you would bring to the beach.

Flip flops, beach chairs, and sand all come to mind when thinking about the summer. People line up in traffic trying to get to the beach for a lazy afternoon under the sun. Logically, you should look to incorporate beach themes into your wedding. One easy way to do this is by getting summer wedding centerpieces that contain elements of the beach.

How about a gleaming white beach chair as a centerpiece decorated with the colors you have chosen for your wedding. You can throw a beach towel across it, lay a book on the seat, or even make it rock automatically while your guests sit and eat.
